The following part is an example from the automotive industry.  This part is fairly straightforward, other than two complex bends in the middle.  These bends are easy to repeat using the 6-axis CNC back gauges on our brake presses, and are then verified for accuracy using our coordinate measuring machine.  Without these two critical tools, each part would have to be painstakingly bent and checked by hand, which would likely generate a lot of out of spec parts.
