Plastic Trim Panel Project on 5-Axis Laser

This Versatile Fabrication customer had a plastic component which needed four additional vent holes cut into its existing structure. There was not enough time to have their injection mold tooling reworked, and they needed the parts cut immediately to stay on top of their deadline. 

The client attempted to use punches and water jetting, but both processes warped the delicate component. Instead, they turned to the "versatile" side of Versatile Fabrication. Because we have one of the only 5-axis lasers in West Michigan, we were able to provide a solution that used a non-contact cutting method.

Our lasers give Versatile Fabrication the advantage of not moving delicate lightweight parts such as this.
